Shakespeare in the Park-Please let go!

Hello everyone.

Lilly has been kind enough to offer up a posting, her first, regarding the Shakespeare performances being held over the summer. Follow this link to the Shakespeare in the Park homepage. Please read this posting's comments and feel free to add your own.

I think that some of us would like to regather, informally, as a group whose appreciation for Shakespeare's work extends beyond the classroom walls.

Hope to hear from you below... and of course, I hope that we concretize this idea from "illusion" into reality!

  2. Lilly, et al.

Try Strand Bookstore in the city right by Union Square, they've got "miles" of books for fair if not cheap prices on the used.

Shakespeare in the Park sounds AMAZING! I would definitely like to commandeer our troop to regather for such events. We could attend a select either of the two performances this summer, or go to both!

Anyone else jazzed about this too?

  5. Oh man,

I wish it was Titus Andronicus (which is probably my most favorite play). It would consist of drama, blood, fights, bloody drama and then everyone dies lol...now that's the real best of Shakespeare

  7. I would be totally game to go to both Shakespeare in the park plays. Shoot me an email if your're interested!
Also, have you guys ever thought about who the Merchant of Venice is? An examination of the history of this play is rather fascinating...

  9. Hey guys PLEASE lets go see Shakespeare in the Park this summer! It is going on from June 9th- August 1 and I really would like it if we went as a class! We can see the Merchant of Venice, a Winters Tale or both! Lets figure out times to go. Personally, any day in June but Saturday is good for me.
